Anyone who has sipped a smooth glass of vino and wondered about its origins will want to attend one of the new Wine Expert Dinners this winter at Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Golf Resort, Spa and Marina on Marylands scenic Eastern Shore. The AAA Four Diamond resort, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, is offering three Saturday evening wine dinners on January 21, February 11 and March 24, 2012.
The evenings will begin with a meet and greet at 6:45 p.m. with light appetizers and wine followed by a four-course wine pairing dinner in the resorts main restaurant, Waters Edge Grill. The January dinner will be hosted by Paula Lucas of Californias Wente Vineyards, the countrys oldest continuously owned, family-run winery. The February dinner will be hosted by Arnaud Saget of Guy Saget Winery in the Loire Valley of France, recognized for their incredible Sauvignon Blanc. Then, in March, Nancy Priest from Frederick Wildman and Sons Importers will enlighten guests on Northern Italian wineries. Each featured wine during this special dinner will be paired with a dish inspired by the region in which it is produced. Reservations can be made by calling 410.901.6400. The dinners are being offered for $ 125 per person, exclusive of tax and gratuity.
